Every season is wedding season, but some seasons are more equipped to help you live out your floral wedding fantasy than others. But have you ever thought about decorating in a less traditional way???
Succulents are trending everywhere right now, yes, even in wedding décor! Brides and grooms all over the world are using succulents in unique ways to make their big day as special as possible. If you think you could be the next succulent-themed wedding, then keep on reading!

First off, escort cards! Looking so cute all arranged on a table, your succulent escort cards will double as a guide for your guests to their table, as well as a memorable keepsake for them from your big day! Whether you choose to write directly on the little pot or make an escort card toothpick flag to stick into the soil next to the succulent is up to you, but either way we are so here for it!
Next up we have everybody’s favorite part of the reception, dessert! Ever thought of using succulents to decorate your one-of-a-kind wedding cake? Well it is trending right now, big time. Bakers have incredible skills to be able to mold substances such as modeling chocolate into succulent doppelgängers, so not only are they super cute, but they are edible too! Couples have been using these succulent decorations to fill up some space on the sides of the tiers of their cakes, and some have even been using succulents as their cake toppers! Have another idea? (Like making succulents into little bride and groom cake toppers? Genius!) Let this post inspire you and go run wild with your wedding planning imagination.
Now what’s a reception without stunning centerpieces? Succulents may not be the tallest plant option for you, but that doesn’t mean you can’t still have a massive, show-stopping centerpiece! One option would be to take a large vase, fill it halfway with rocks, and top it off with a succulent in the middle. This still gives you the attention-grabbing centerpiece look, but without the over-the-top flowers overflowing the top of the vase. But what if you’re into a more subtle centerpiece look? Maybe try a heart-shaped wooden crate on each table! Or your new last initial? You can fill it with a few different types of succulents and pack the empty space with wildflowers. This creates a simple, gorgeous centerpiece that is unique to each table, but is a bit flatter so you can still see the guest sitting across from you.
All this succulent talk is making me appreciate the many, many uses for this gorgeous greenery. But that brings up the point, what if you want more than just a soft green wedding? Couples have been talking about the struggle to include more than just a variety of green shades in their wedding while still staying on-theme, and they have found the solution through wildflowers! Dusty purples, pinks, and oranges have been very popular succulent complimentary colors, and that can be seen in bouquets, boutonnieres, centerpieces, ceremony décor, and so much more… all through wildflowers!

This is only the beginning of all this crazy talk regarding decorating with succulents, but I hope it brought you some inspiration for your big day! Thanks for reading!
