Succulent Hobbies

Hello again to all the SUCCAs out there! Thank you for still coming to my weekly blog about succulents. You guys truly mean the world to me and I can’t believe that I am finally up to TEN VIEWS already!!! My dream of being a professional blogger is right before my very eyes and it’s all thanks to you guys. Anyways, as you all may know by now, succulents are extremely popular in the plant world and to my surprise, many people have created their own succulent hobbies out of them! My hobbies are not based around plants, but they do include: Homebrew beer, deep-sea fishing, international cooking, feeding my gambling addiction at the Blue Chip Casino, beekeeping, metal detecting on the beach, competitive dog grooming, and extreme ironing!

WHEW THAT WAS A LOT

But, enough about me and my boring interests. For today’s blog I will share all of the succulent hobbies that I recently learned about and who knows, maybe you can even try investing your time into these different hobbies!

Now, how did I discover that these hobbies even existed in the first place? One word SUCCAS, Pinterest. Here’s a quick life lesson, if you EVER (and I mean, EVER) need a creative idea, tips and tricks, or want to spend hours upon hours on surfing the web, Pinterest is the place to go. So, one day in the spur of the moment, I decided to take a break on looking up cute Christmas dog outfits for my puppy and search different succulent hobby ideas! I was extremely amazed to see how many different great ideas people came up with to make succulents a hobby! So, here are three hobbies that caught my eye the most that I thought I would share with you all!

1.) Succulent Green Wall with a Picture Frame

If you are wondering what this is just as much as I am, it’s actually called a living frame. Apparently, they are a different than growing a succulent the normal way because now you can grow them off the ground and vertically! The main reason why people do this is to show off their plants in a more creative way than just placing them in their windowsill. Honestly, I think this makes a succulent owner ten times cooler than if they just placed it in a window and said, “Alright that looks great!” and kept it there for a decade. You have to have some spunk with it.

2.) DIY Succulent Door Wreath

Merry Christmas am I right?!?! Imagine this: It’s Christmas morning, the smell of freshly brewed coffee is spreading through your house, Santa just left and ate the cookies you and your family baked last night, you kiss your honey-boo-bear underneath the mistletoe, and then you look up to see your DIY Succulent Door Wreath. What a beauty. The number of compliments that you will receive will be overwhelming. Deck the halls and doors with succulents this Christmas SUCCAS! You can even do it year-round and make it your hobby!

3.) Succulent Wine Bottle Planter

You can’t have a party without wine (or any alcohol really). So, to make this you should chug all of the wine in the bottle, rinse it out thoroughly, and then place some rocks and your succulent right into the bottle. Simple! You just have to make sure not to cut yourself when making it! I am actually pretty confused on this concept, because how are you going to cut the wine bottle without having shattered glass or scratched up fingers afterwards? But the point is that you’ll look cool and your succulents can now enjoy their wine home.

I really hope that you liked at least one of these projects so that you could potentially make into your own hobby! They are definitely cool and require little to too much work! See you next time SUCCAS!
