Are succulents cute?

What's up succas. This weeks topic is 'are succulents cute?' This is a loaded question. It is a very opinionated question. What even makes something cute? Every person can have their own opinion of what cute is and that opinion is not wrong. So, in my opinion, succulents are the cutest! I would not say they are beautiful like roses, or peonies. You know how new born babies are always so cute? Like sometimes they are ugly babies, but they're still cute because they're tiny, and precious, and innocent. That is how I feel about succulents. Even when they are ugly, they're still cute. However, that does not mean that all succulents are not beautiful. Not only do I think that succulents are too cute, I think they make the things around them cute. Take a normal room or window for example, you put a succulent in it and it automatically turns way cuter. I have a shelf in my room that I've had for years. I've always just had pictures on it. This school year I decided to buy two tiny succulents and put them surrounding one picture. Now, every time someone walks into my room they comment on how cute the shelf is. I feel like with the popularity of succulents many people would agree with that. I think succulents also make people happier. When one feels happy they think things are cuter than they would if they are not happy.

Although I think succulents are so stinkin cute, I know not everyone agrees with me. I interviewed one of my friends who thinks that they "are not that cute" about why their beliefs are what they are. First of all, they are not a big plant person in general. "I don't know what people's obsession with flowers and plants is." So starting out with that was a mood kill from the start. They went on to say how the actual plants do not look good so they do not want them in their room. A little disclaimer, they do not have many decorations in their room at all so it is not surprising they do not want a succulent for decoration. They also said that the fact they would have to remember to water it so it didn't die is another downside.

Succulents are not for everyone, and that's okay. Maybe you think they are cute, maybe you don't. As always, thanks for reading!
